Set One Word Intentions Every Year

Every year, I set a one word intention for my personal life and another for my business life. I am conscious that the success of my venture relies in no small part on how well it aligns with my personal and professional goals. For 2021, my one word intention has been delegation. I have made a deliberate choice to ask for help and to find the person who is the best for the job. This has freed me up to do more of what I love and grow in other areas I have always wanted to. Being a woman in business comes with it's many ups and downs but if you develop a win-win attitude, it can feel like you are on top of the world. One of the biggest challenges is learning how to let go and trust that your team can handle what they said they were going to do. This took me a while to master. I felt I needed to have my hand on it for it to go well. Until a great friend reminded me that there is strength in teams. The primary goal is to hire people who are ten times better than I am in the area they are hired for. After doing this, I have been able to make that transition into working ON the company instead of IN the company. Maybe delegation is not a focus area for you right now but trust and beleive that it will need to be at some point. Start putting systems in place so when the time is right, you can make that transition with ease. #TaiAbrams #BusinessLeader #EducationLeader
